Meet your hosts

Based in nearby Burrawang in the Southern Highlands, Mandy and Glen Haddon acquired this historic property in July 2025 and have since undertaken a considered transformation.

With a genuine commitment to preservation, the Haddons’ vision is to protect the historical legacy of No. 52 for future generations, while making this internationally iconic sporting home accessible for all to experience and marvel.

No. 52 balances period charm with contemporary comfort. Original features such as high ceilings, timber floors and heritage detailing remain throughout, sensitively updated for modern living and a warm, inviting stay.

The interiors reflect a deep connection to the Southern Highlands, with artwork, furnishings and finishes sourced predominantly from local artisans. Each room flows naturally into the next, creating spaces that feel considered, authentic and deeply comfortable, with subtle layers of storytelling woven throughout.

Outside, the garden offers a peaceful place to pause, while inside, year-round comfort is assured with central heating, air conditioning, gas and wood fires. Smoking is not permitted indoors. An ashtray is provided in the backyard for guest convenience.

Yes. Old Bowral is a quiet residential area, and guests are asked to be considerate of neighbours, particularly after 10pm.
